Well, I made it back in one piece. Actaully lost 6 pounds over the 4 days I was hiking through Utah. The trip went very well and the weather could not of been better. Never did see a cloud until my last day. Sunshine with temps between 70-85 depending on what elevation I was at.
In the meantime let me tell you that the places I visited are so remote, you will be lucky to run into just one person driving through. I didnt see anybody for 2 straight days. The sounds ....well there were no sounds except an occasional breeze. The first morning after watching the sun rise, I was getting ready to go for a hike when I heard the song of coyotes howling. It was sooooo magnificant considering I was the only person to hear them. I never did see them but the song they sang was very neat.
The first night watching the stars was just incredible. The moons glow on the surrounding canyons and rocks were like nothing else in the world. This trip was very awe inspiring and at the same time, nerve racking.
I never did see a mountain lion but I did see the mountain lion poop. It also could of been from a coyote I suppose but a mountian lion sounds more dramatic than a coyote.
Soon you can read detailed accounts and photos from the trip. I took over 1,700 photos give or take a few. Talk to you soon!
